I agree with Jeff's comments. Shawn Lane was really talented. Mind you, I'm not that keen on the few songs of his that I have heard. His best was yet to come...

Shawn Lane was a gifted guitarist who died way too young, at about 40 years old. He was very fast, a real shredder when he wanted to be. Other guitar players praise Lane in interviews - you could say Lane was a "guitar player's guitarist", as I saw it put on the cover a recent Guitar Techniques issue.
